How I ended up in indian public bus

Hi guys…That was the ‘greatest’ way ever. Firstly, there were no buses going from Manali to Chandigarh for two days, then I had to take a cab which cost nearly a fortune. When Indians say ‘5 hours’ that means 7-8 hours of mountain roads. I was lucky as there were mature couple with me, I guess from middle or upper-class, who’re kind to look after me) We left Vashisht at 4 pm and at 12am I was at the worst hotel I ever seen and could imagine, the staff did not speak English at all, ‘white’ towel was absolutely black as if they’ve just washed the floor with it. Ok, well…it’s fine. Just a few hours of sleep. Then I took a funny rikshaw to the railway station…where I realised there were NO trains going to Rishikesh, even checked at tourist office. Spent extra 300 for that lovely driving through the dusty city. Arriving to the bus station in the sector 17, I got a clear idea that this place is fully messed up and I had no energy to take it as it is…Fortunately, I’ve met the tourist guard so-called ‘angel’ – 77-years old man whose hobby is to help tourists!!! wow)) no money asked by the way))) We had a cup of tea and took a few pictures, I wrote a couple of lines on his notebook as many people did before me. He brought me to the RIGHT bus going to Rishi. Well……….Not a tourist one, but he basically pushed me into the bus next to the driver (with words though) and I ended up in a local bus full of local people…U know…And it was just a beginning…Basically there is NO road as such. Not a concrete one. I thought I won’t arrive to Rishikesh, but finally I did. Couldn’t find the hotel needed and stayed at one I found. Here we go) Waiting for people from the school to grab me and my Lovely life in Rishikesh starts….))) Welcome)
